Where have you been? Where are you now? Where are you going?
Write the story of your life... 2 pages at a time
WHAT IS GUIDED AUTOBIOGRAPHY?
Guided Autobiography has been researched and developed by Dr. James Birren over the past 30 years as a structured, stimulating and compassionate method of helping you recall, organize and document your life story. Guided by a trained instructor, you will be led through several life themes with priming questions that help evoke memories of events once known, but seemingly filed away and forgotten. Each week you will write a 2-page story, bring it to class and share it with a small supportive group.
WHO WOULD BENEFIT?
Women and men of all ages and writing abilities can benefit from the insights and personal discovery Guided Autobiography provides. The process is especially beneficial for people entering or wanting to enter a new phase of life or new direction.
There are 6, 8 or 10 week sessions. Class meets once a week for 2 hours. Each class is limited to 6 participants and includes discussion and instruction on autobiography, tools to inspire your writing and time to share your 2 pages of writing from the prior week’s theme. For those who cannot make it out to a class, the material can be brought to you at home.
